The University of Oklahoma LAAS/WAAS Mission:

Provide “Rubber Meets the Road” WAAS and LAAS Category A and B Flight Testing in Support of TERPS (AFS-420)
Provide Statistical Analysis of Flight Dynamic and Static Data in Order to Determine Approach Minimums
Evaluate the Systems Performances to Determine Accuracy, Integrity, and Availability
Apply the Lessons Learned in WAAS to LAAS
Support the FAA Technical Center in Atlantic City in the initial evaluation of LAAS
Provide Input as a Result of Flight Tests in Support of MOPS and Procedure Development by AFS-420
Provide Assigned Flight Test Support to the Operational Readiness Evaluation (ORE)
Support the FAA Technical Center in Atlantic City With Low Cost Systems Development and Initial LAAS Evaluation

Development of a Very Low Cost LAAS Station
Provide a Low Cost LAAS Gamma Navigator
Provide Low Cost Category A and B Flight testing for WAAS and LAAS in support of AFS-420 TERPS development
Develop Statistical Models for the transfer of Low Cost Category A and B WAAS and LAAS Flight Data to the FAA ASAT System
