The Soaring Spirit Blimp       The Soaring Spirit Blimp was built and is operated by the students of Dr. John Fagan. It can be seen at all regular season home basketball games, both Men's and Women's as well as some gymnastics meets throughout the season.       At a typical appearance, the blimp will fly for a minimum of 25 minutes before the game begins, and again at halftime. Usually the blimp will be dropping prizes such as free dinners at IHOP or free t-shirts from the OU Athletic Department. The blimp uses three main fans for propulsion and control and can operate for usually about 35 minutes on one set of batteries.
